Helicoptera

An alien insect which appeared in a documentary about the artist on the BBC television 'Omnibus' programme. The  insect was animated in 'real time' by a jet of compressed air 'off camera' to rotate the 'helicopter' wings. Also, the antenna had magnetic tips, moved by the use of powerful magnets under the diorama. Although the insect only appeared for a few seconds, it was most effective.
